2022 Satellite World Cup

Participation is open to all Wheelchair Fencing Nations.
For each individual event, there is a minimum of four fencers from three World Abilitysport countries to be an official World Para Fencing event.
Athletes are allowed to start in higher categories (Cat. B athletes in Cat. A; and Cat. C athletes in Cat. B or Cat. A) on their own decision or if there are not sufficient participants in their own category.
All athletes need a valid World Para Fencing license for the year of the competition.

A fencer without an official international classification is not allowed to participate in an World Para Fencing competition.

Classification will take place for all unclassified competitors before the competition. The placing of competitors within each category is strictly according to the decision of the official classifiers authorities who have examined and classified them. A classification fee of 50 GBP per athlete is charged by World Abilitysport.

The referees of the delegations must always attend the Competitions, Tournaments or Championships from the beginning until the end of the last bout/match of the competiton. A penalty fee will be applied if they arrive too late or leave too early.

According to World Para Fencing rules:
Pools followed by direct elimination without elimination (100% of athletes proceed to direct elimination after pools).

All events will be fenced separated by gender (men, women) and by categories (A, B, C).

World Abilitysport retains the right to conduct random Anti-Doping testing at any World Para Fencing competition.

According to World Para Fencing rules with the following exceptions:

There is no need to have the name/nation of the athlete printed on the back of the jackets or to have the nation printed on the apron.
Also, no national logos are required on the clothing or on spoke protectors.

REFEREES
The situation with referees will be announced after the IWF EC meeting on 26 April 2022.

Entry fee per participant is 30 Euro and directly payable to the organizers to the following bank account:

ROOM RATE
for the proposed hotel "Select Hotel Moser Verdino":
Double Room: 86 Euro with 2 persons in this room.
Hotel rooms have to be directly booked by the participants.


PAYMENTS
The IWAS Registration Fee (5 GBP per person) must be paid directly to IWAS.
Please note that your registration and entry to the competition is not complete until the IWAS Registration Fee has been received by IWAS.


TRANSPORTATION
Transportation with bus or taxi from/to the airport (only 3km from to the proposed hotel) has to be organized by the participants.
Transportation between the proposed hotel and venue will be offered by the organizers.


On 11th June 2022, the finals of women epee and men epee will be held at the shopping mall of the city: City Arkaden Klagenfurt, Heuplatz 5, 9020 Klagenfurt.

The World Abilitysport Registration Fee (20 GBP per person), a possible Late Entry Surcharge (150 GBP per person after the entry deadline and until 3 days before the competition, 250 GBP until the head of delegation meeting), the fine for missing referees (1.500 GBP per missing referee before and 2.000 GBP after the entry deadline) and possible other fines must be paid directly to World Para Fencing.

Please note that all fees and penalties payable to World Para Fencing will be invoiced AFTER THE COMPETITION.

The start times of individual and team events may be subject to change to another time on the same day after the final entry deadline, when the entry numbers of athletes and teams are known.
