Wheelchair Fencing Satellite Cup

Participation is open to all Wheelchair Fencing Nations.
For each individual event, there is a minimum of four fencers from three World Abilitysport countries to be an official World Para Fencing event.
Athletes are allowed to start in higher categories (Cat. B athletes in Cat. A; and Cat. C athletes in Cat. B or Cat. A) on their own decision or if there are not sufficient participants in their own category.
All athletes need a valid World Para Fencing license for the year of the competition.

A fencer without an official international classification is not allowed to participate in an World Para Fencing competition.

Classification will take place for all unclassified competitors before the competition. The placing of competitors within each category is strictly according to the decision of the official classifiers authorities who have examined and classified them. A classification fee of 50 GBP per athlete is charged by World Abilitysport.

Referees are not required.

The referees of the delegations must always attend the Competitions, Tournaments or Championships from the beginning until the end of the last bout/match of the competiton. A penalty fee will be applied if they arrive too late or leave too early.

According to World Para Fencing rules:
Pools followed by direct elimination without elimination (100% of athletes proceed to direct elimination after pools).

All events will be fenced separated by gender (men, women) and by categories (A, B, C).

World Abilitysport retains the right to conduct random Anti-Doping testing at any World Para Fencing competition.

According to World Para Fencing rules with the following exceptions:

There is no need to have the name/nation of the athlete printed on the back of the jackets or to have the nation printed on the apron.
Also, no national logos are required on the clothing or on spoke protectors.

REGISTRATION FEE
Airport transfers, travel to the venue, accommodation and meals are included.
Registration Fee: U$ 40.00 per person.
The Registration fee will include the IWAS fee.
Registration fees will be invoiced directly to the Nations IWAS Members/Fencing Federations, by email.


ACCOMMODATION FEE
Brazil will provide to all countries accommodation at the Brazilian Paralympic Training Center and meals for free according to the event schedule:
- Coaches Course: from September 20 th to October 4th
- Classification Course: from September 27 th to October 4th
- Referee Course: from September 27 th to October 4th
- Athletes, coaches, staff (those who will not take part at any course): from September 29th to October 4th

RT-PCR for COVID-19
Negative RT-PCR covid-19, results made within maximum 72 hours from your check-in at the CTPB are mandatory.
It is mandatory to present the negative result of the RT-PCR exam for the original COVID-19, performed up to 72 hours before the date of arrival in São Paulo.
The exam result must be sent by email before leaving your country of origin.


INSURANCE
All members of attending delegations should insure themselves in case of accidents, injuries, or illness. The organizer will not accept any responsibility or financial loss or any other responsibility incurred by any of the participants whatsoever.
It is mandatory to take out travel insurance for all participants. This hiring is the responsibility of each member, and the LOC is not responsible for accidents or occurrences during the competition.

The World Abilitysport Registration Fee (20 GBP per person), a possible Late Entry Surcharge (150 GBP per person after the entry deadline and until 3 days before the competition, 250 GBP until the head of delegation meeting), the fine for missing referees (1.500 GBP per missing referee before and 2.000 GBP after the entry deadline) and possible other fines must be paid directly to World Para Fencing.

Please note that all fees and penalties payable to World Para Fencing will be invoiced AFTER THE COMPETITION.

The start times of individual and team events may be subject to change to another time on the same day after the final entry deadline, when the entry numbers of athletes and teams are known.
