2024 World Championships

At the Senior World Championships, entries are limited to four athletes per individual event per nation.
For each individual event: The minimum of six fencers from four World Abilitysport countries is needed to be an official World Championship event.
A fencer without an official international classification is not allowed to participate in an World Para Fencing competition.
The placing of competitors within each category is strictly according to the decision of the official classifiers authorities who have examined and classified each competitor before the competition.

Referees are not required.

ENTRIES & REGISTRATION

All entries for athletes, referees, coaches and staff has to be done via the Ophardt system:

Registration of the whole team (accreditations, accommodation packages, all travel details etc.) has to be done also by mail to office@szablakilinskiego.pl by sending the official entry form.

The data from the entry form and Ophardt system must be consistent and current. It is responsibility of national federations to inform World Abilitysport and LOC about any changes and keep all data up-to-date.

Registration deadlines
- For packages with accommodation (entry forms sent via mail)
DEADLINE: 27th May 2024
- For sending the photos for accreditations
- DEADLINE: 14th June 2024
- For registration in the Ophardt system
- DEADLINE: 14th June 2024.

In exceptional situations:
- the registration of accommodation packages with the organizers after 27 MAY 2024
- the registration of athletes and officials in Ophardt system after 14 JUNE 2024
may be considered by LOC or IWAS and may be accepted, but 20% penalty fee will be added to the regular accommodation fee, and a late entry fee will be charged.


ACCREDITATIONS & PHOTOS

Only accredited persons can enter the competitions areas.
Individual accreditations with photo will be issued and will be required during the competitions.
Photos for accreditations (JPG files) should be sent to
office@szablakilinskiego.pl before 14th June 2024
A separate JPG file has to be sent for each member of the team. Please title the JPG files as follows: CoutryCode_LastName_FirstName.jpg e.g.:
GBR_SMITH_John.jpg.
Important: If photos are not sent on time (before 14th June) or accreditation will have to be issued on-site because of missing data in entry forms or missing photo, an additional handling fee of 50 EUR per each accreditation will be charged.


CANCELLATION POLICY

Any cancellation of ordered accommodation packages after 27 May 2024 but before 10 JUNE 2024 will result in applying the cancellation fee:
50% of packages that have been ordered and cancelled.

Any cancellation of ordered accommodation packages after 10 JUNE 2024 but before 24 JUNE 2024 will result in applying the cancellation fee:
75% of package that have been ordered and cancelled.

Any cancellation of ordered accommodation packages after 24 JUNE 2024 will result in applying the cancellation fee:
100% of package that have been ordered and cancelled.


PAYMENTS FOR ACCREDITATION AND ROOM RATES

Accreditation Rate and Room Rates must be paid directly to the local organizers by bank transfer.

The accreditation rate is obligatory for participation and accessing competition venue and competition areas.
Airport transfers, travel to venue, accommodation and food is NOT included.
The room rates will include accommodation and food in the Official Hotels, airport transfers to the hotels and between the hotels and the venue. Day rates start from the dinner on the day of arrival and continues until breakfast on the day of departure.
If the payment will not be done before the start of the competition additional 20% financial penalty (20% of total amount) will be applied.


INSURANCE

All members of attending delegations should insure themselves in case of accidents, injuries or illness. The organizer will not accept any responsibility or financial loss or any other responsibility incurred by any of the participants whatsoever.


WORLD ABILITYSPORT FEES

The World Abilitysport Registration Fee (50 GBP per person), a possible Late Entry Surcharge (150 GBP per person after the entry deadline and until 3 days before the competition, 250 GBP until the head of delegation meeting), the fine for missing referees (1.500 GBP per missing referee before and 2.000 GBP after the entry deadline) and possible other fines must be paid directly to World Para Fencing.

Please note that all fees and penalties payable to World Para Fencing will be invoiced AFTER THE COMPETITION.


START TIMES

The start times of individual and team events may be subject to change to another time on the same day after the final entry deadline, when the entry numbers of athletes and teams are known.

The World Abilitysport Registration Fee (70 GBP per person), a possible Late Entry Surcharge (150 GBP per person after the entry deadline and until 3 days before the competition, 250 GBP until the the head of delegation meeting) and possible other fines must be paid directly to World Para Fencing.

Please note that all fees and penalties payable to World Para Fencing will be invoiced AFTER THE COMPETITION.
