2023 World Championships

At the Senior World Championships, entries are limited to four athletes per individual event per nation.
For each individual event: The minimum of six fencers from four World Abilitysport countries is needed to be an official World Championship event.
A fencer without an official international classification is not allowed to participate in an World Para Fencing competition.
The placing of competitors within each category is strictly according to the decision of the official classifiers authorities who have examined and classified each competitor before the competition.

Referees are not required.

FORM #1
The First Entry Forms (Form #1) is available on our official website:

DEADLINE TO RETURN THE FIRST ENTRY FORM (Form #1) AND DEPOSIT PAYMENT: 21 July 2023.

Please indicate the complete information, filling up each point requested in the Form #1.

Deposit: 20% of the total amount payment (non-refundable).

Please NOTE: the delegation failing to return the First Entry Form and payment by the deadline 21 July 2023, will be charged a penalty of 100,00 Euros per person.

The Final Entry Forms (Form #2) will be available from 22 July 2023 on our official website:

DEADLINE TO RETURN THE FINAL ENTRY FORM (Form #2) AND PAYMENT: 01 September 2023.

Please indicate the complete information, filling up each point requested in the Form #2.

Payment: Final entry and balance of the total amount (non-refundable).

Please NOTE: the delegation failing to return the Final Entry Form and payment by the deadline 01 September 2023 will be charged a penalty of 100,00 Euros per each late day.

Entries to the competitions have to be made also with the Ophardt Registration System


REGISTRATION
All entries for athletes, coaches and staff have to be done via the Ophardt system:

Remark: the Accreditation Rates and Room Rates do not include the IWAS fee of £70 for each participant (athlete, official, staff, ...) which will be invoiced and has to be paid to IWAS after the competition.

The data from Entry Forms and Ophardt system must be consistent and current!

It is responsibility of the national federations to inform IWAS and the local Organizing Committee about any changes and keep all data up-to-date.

Invoices for entered participants (Accreditation Rates and Room Rates) will be sent once you have completed the booking section and paid directly to the LOC using the bank details below.


PAYMENTS FOR ACCREDITATION AND ROOM RATES
The Accreditation Rate will allow competition accreditation only (airport transfers, travel to venue, accommodation and food are NOT included).
The Room Rates will include accommodation and food in the official Hotels, airport transfers to the hotels and between the hotels and the venue.
Day rates start from the dinner on the day of arrival and continues until breakfast on the day of departure.

If the athletes need to extend the stay for health reason, their national federation will cover the extra fees for a stay extension.

Should you need assistance to apply for entry visa to Italy (e.g. letter of invitation), please provide the following details to the Organizer Committee as soon as possible to info@terni2023.eu

Note: Early application is advised for participants who required entry visa.


INSURANCE
All members of attending delegations should insure themselves in case of accidents, injuries or illness. The organizer will not accept any responsibility or financial loss or any other responsibility incurred by any of the participants whatsoever.


MEALS
Meals are included from the dinner of the 1st day (arrival date) to the breakfast of the last day (departure date). Lunch are always in the competition venue from 03/10/2023 to 08/10/23. In the other days the lunch will be served in hotel.


AIRPORT
The transfers will be available only from/to Rome Fiumicino “Leonardo da Vinci” airport.


TRAINING
The training in the competition venue will be available from 1st October from 10:00 am to 04:00 pm.


IWAS FEES AND PENALTIES

The World Abilitysport Registration Fee (50 GBP per person), a possible Late Entry Surcharge (150 GBP per person after the entry deadline and until 3 days before the competition, 250 GBP until the head of delegation meeting), the fine for missing referees (1.500 GBP per missing referee before and 2.000 GBP after the entry deadline) and possible other fines must be paid directly to World Para Fencing.

Please note that all fees and penalties payable to World Para Fencing will be invoiced AFTER THE COMPETITION.


START TIMES

The start times of individual and team events may be subject to change to another time on the same day after the final entry deadline, when the entry numbers of athletes and teams are known.

The World Abilitysport Registration Fee (70 GBP per person), a possible Late Entry Surcharge (150 GBP per person after the entry deadline and until 3 days before the competition, 250 GBP until the the head of delegation meeting) and possible other fines must be paid directly to World Para Fencing.
